University of Karachi has completed test based admissions in all the departments for Bachelors and Masters Programme Admissions 2018. The qualifying criterion of the test in candidates' respective discipline was 50 percent while 40 percent only in the faculty of education.

According to KU spokesperson, in few departments, students couldn't score the 50 percent marks which was the passing criteria, therefore, in the admissions committee's meeting it was decided to scale down the passing percentage to 40 as it already prevails in faculty of education.
